Academic Studies Abroad

A study-abroad catalogue where every program page is generated from structured data instead of built by hand.

01Overview

Academic Studies Abroad places students in universities around the world. The site has to present a large, constantly shifting catalogue — by country, city, university and term — without the marketing team rebuilding a page every time an offering changes.

02Challenge

A catalogue this size defeats the page-per-program approach. Every new destination becomes another template to maintain, and a prospective student has to narrow hundreds of options down to a shortlist before they will ever fill in an enquiry form.

03Approach

I designed the experience in Figma first, then modelled the catalogue as data rather than as pages. Programs live in HubDB, which keeps structure and presentation separate and lets the same records drive both a listing and a detail page.

04Solution

I generated program pages dynamically from HubDB records and built the Program Finder to filter that same data set in place. I developed the front end as HubSpot CMS templates and custom HUBL modules, so the marketing team can compose and reorder pages without a developer.

05What was built

  • Program pages generated dynamically from HubDB records
  • Catalogue filtering driven by the same structured data
  • Custom HubSpot CMS modules the marketing team maintains directly
  • Responsive across the full catalogue, not just the landing pages
